WTF FUZZ - THE FUZZ/OVERDRIVE PEDAL FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT LIKE FUZZ
The almost finished WTF fuzz
This our good friend Mark Lettieri who is the guitarist for one of the most amazing bands around Snarky Puppy.
We just wanted to talk a little about the new WTF fuzz that has become our new favorite fuzz/Overdrive, overdrive, distortion and all around pedal. Both Jay and I have never been fuzz users and we have found there are many out there that agree. I was lucky enough to come across Paul Trombetta and his amazing pedals through my friend Mark Cuthberston "Suckamc" to the gear pagers. We at Rockett were typical overdrive and distortion users thumbing our noses at the standard fuzz tones.
Anyway, Mark said you gotta check out this fuzz and I of course had no interest at all however, I did not want to be rude. I demod the pedal for about, I don't know, 2 weeks!!! I could not believe how inspiring it was to play. You can get smooth violin type OD tones all the way to complete whacked out fuzz, random octave madness. The part that struck me, as do any quality guitar products, was the feel...it was just so unique and cool.
With that said, we contacted Paul and asked if he would be interested in a collaboration on a fuzz. He agreed and after about a year of R&D we are finally getting ready to release the beast. It is a little different than Paul's in that it has a little different EQ and a boost section. Other than that it has all of the tromboney greatness.
